John Buren

Athletic Director and Varsity boys Coach

 John Buren has been coaching for over 40 years.  During his years as a player, John recognized the impact that a coach has on an athlete’s life.  Wanting to be that positive force and investing in kids lives, led to the founding of Heritage Christian Athletics. Through Heritage Christian Athletics, John hopes to provide an authentic sports experience for kids at all levels.

John has been married to Amy for 38 years. They have 4 children and have 13 grandchildren. When John isn’t coaching, you can find him in the woods hunting or in the pasture chasing goats and grandkids.

John believes God gives every player a unique gift and it is the coach’s responsibility to help them recognize it.
